Born on his mother’s birthday 25 years ago, Frank Greaney has been described as the worst present she ever received. Having said that, Frank bought her an ironing board in 2003 so he now considers himself as the second worst present she has ever been given.
After successfully completing a Bachelor in Corporate Law in NUI Galway in 2005, Frank set off to south east Asia for four months to find himself and decided to settle in Australia for a year.
Upon his return to the land he loves so dear, he made three life changing discoveries:
1) He doesn’t swim too well
2) Women with willy’s should not be trusted and
3) A love for writing
Frank is currently on the brink of completing a MA in Journalism at NUI Galway. While he entered the course to pursue a career in Print, he has subsequently found a deep burning affection towards Broadcast media. Many attribute this new found love to the fact that he loves the sound of his own voice.
As a part of the team at Jimmy’s Gems on the Damn Thing (Tuesdays at 2.30 on Flirt FM) Frank has interviewed former US senators, top American fashion gurus, the honourable mayor of Galway and most recently the only Irish sumo wrestler to have won the world championships in elephant polo in the jungles of Nepal.
Frank is almost as aggressive on the football field as he is in front of the microphone as plays his trade with Salthill Devon. A keen athlete that likes to work just as hard as he plays, Frank is full of opinions and equipped with a keen eye for all that is entertaining and aims to sprinkle the pages of Majic.ie with a little bit of Razzle Dazzle.
